The Mary Lou Fulton Institute and Graduate College of Education is seeking to immediately fill a .50 Graduate Assistant position for a qualified web developer to work on the next version of our CareerWISE website, a NSF funded, any-time, on-line coach for academic women in science and engineering. Reporting to the Technology Leadership Team, the web developer will be responsible for direct programming, implementation, and maintenance of the web site. This will consist of implementing one or more custom Drupal modules or extensions and integrating them with the framework. Throughout the process, s/he will provide customer support for the existing version and eventually for the new release. On-going, s/he will be responsible for maintaining the new modules and tools, fixing bugs, implementing specified design changes, adding improvements based on user feedback, and upgrading to new versions of Drupal as needed.
Basic Qualifications
• 3+ years experience as web programmer or developer
• 1+ years experience using Drupal framework for web site development
• 1+ years experience with user tracking and data collection, such as with Google Analytics
• Experience with Drupal Version 6.0
• Bachelors degree
• Current ASU graduate student in good standing
Additional Qualifications
• Experience with Drupal Theming (views)
• Strong knowledge of Drupal modules and ability to evaluate and recommend the best modules for the requested functionality.
• Ability to develop and implement new functionality for an existing Drupal-based public-facing Web site
• Ability to write, configure, optimize and maintain custom and 3rd party Drupal modules
• Ability to maintain knowledge of Drupal community and latest developments
• Available for frequent meetings on the Tempe campus
