UTO would like to announce the launch of the ASU Web Community at http://web.asu.edu where ASU web designers, developers and programmers can find accurate information about web development on the ASU web, as well as collaborate with others to create and participate on university projects.

The ASU Web Community is:

• A social networking site that enhances communications and unifies the university web development efforts.
• A supportive resource for members to ask questions about and discuss web design, development and code.
• A friendly venue for sharing code, designs, tips and other resources.
• A shared code repository where anyone in the community can look at code, post code and collaborate on projects.
• A forum for community members to collaboratively establish best practices for design and code.

In addition to the resources and activities on the site, the Web Community will sponsor workshops throughout the year. A day-long event will be held every 6 months so members can gather to socialize and talk about hot topics regarding web design, development and programming at ASU.

Everyone with an interest in the ASU web is invited to participate and contribute to the site.
