Too Many Forums

I think there are too many forums here. If I could wave my magic wand, this is what the forums list would look like.

General Forums

  • Announcements (ASU Web Community announcements) 
  • General Discussion (Something to say that doesn't fit in anthe forum.) 
  • Networking/Security (Web hosting, Connectivity issues, WiFi, WebAuth)

Programming Forums

  • .NET
  • ColdFusion
  • Java
  • PHP
  • Databases (MySQL, MS SQL Server, Sybase, Oracle, etc.) 
  • Other Programming (JavaScript, ActionScript, Perl, Visual Basic, etc.) 
  • Web Design (CSS, web graphics, usability and accessibility)

Hi Cameron,

Kathy recently went in and gutted the forums, but we still think there are too many that aren't being used. We just met today to discuss reorganizing and pruning the remaining stragglers. Progress on implementing the new, lighter version should be started this weekend.
