The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is looking into bringing communication trainer Jeff Herrington <https://www.jeffherrington.com/Home.htm> to campus this spring to present a full-day “Writing for the Web” workshop. If there is sufficient interest, we may bring him in for two full-day workshops so that more people can attend. In that event, we might be able to offer seats in the workshop for staff outside the college, for a charge of $100 per person. (Compare to cost of $179 plus travel for his workshops in California.)

Jeff presented a workshop for us last semester on “How to Plan, Write and Edit Effective Publications,” and it was a big hit. Nearly 80 percent of the participants rated Jeff’s effectiveness as a trainer as excellent, and 95 percent rated the overall value of the workshop as good or excellent.

IF YOU ARE NOT AN EMPLOYEE OF THE COLLEGE OF LIBERAL ARTS AND SCIENCES and you or other staff members in your unit have an interest in such a workshop and would be willing to pay $100 to attend, please e-mail barby.grant@asu.edu. At this point I’m just trying to gauge the level of interest, so no commitment is expected.
