If you are on the WEBCOM mailing list then you probably just got this email, but for those who are not here ya go.

We are in the process of starting a sub-committee of
UNCEL(http://uncel.wiki.asu.edu/) that is focused primarily on secure web
application development. Our goals will be to promote secure web
development practices, identify and share resources for secure development
through out the community and aide in suggesting/evaluating polices that
impact web security.
The first order of business is to gather information of those who might be
interested in participating, get a rough idea of the technologies being used
by the community of web developers at the university and to find a time and
place for this committee to meet.

I've posted a survey on SurveyGizmo to gather this information:
http://www.surveygizmo.com/s/58812/uncel-web-developers-meet-the-crowd-2008

Thanks in advance for taking a minute(possibly seconds) to complete the survey.

Update::
The Dust has settled after a busy beginning of the school year and now that the web developers are no longer shackled to their monitors to verify their web sites withstood the onslaught of users, we can hold our first meeting.

First Ever/ Secure Web Development (UNCEL subcommittee)
Time: Thursday, September 25th, at 1pm-2pm
Location: Computing Commons 120 (auditorium)

For those who wish to view it remotely we will be broadcasting at:
http://live.biodesign.asu.edu/ (ASURITE authentication required)

This meeting will outline the reasons for starting this sub-group, some of our goals, go over the charter draft and discuss next steps in moving forward. A formal agenda will be sent out when complete.
