I prefer the Round 1E design for several reasons. First, it is very clean and simple. The use of color is also well done. It is also very similar to the current home page so that people can easily identify it as ASU, and the navigation is what users are used to.
Most of the other sites keep the navigation the same but differ drastically in the look of the page. Not that this may not be a good thing, but users still need to identity it with ASU.
Round 1D looks almost as if the content box was a second thought because it differs so drastically from the background. 1Cr2 is better than 1D but the content box still seems to be disassociated from the remainder of the site. 1F is too busy textually and does not have enough photos. 1G is not bad; I particularily like the middle navigation section. However, it still tends to look as if the content box is an afterthought and not a cohesive part of the design.
Hope this helps some. Keep up the good work

I like this one because of the clean design and use of space. Some of the other pages lift the center content area which disconnects the design from the header/footer elements. It also looks calmer than some of the other pages. Of course, some would say that calm is boring. I think this design draws from elements of the current front page while simplifying and updating the look.
I also like the round 1 F alternate.
