DREAMS laboratory was awarded $5000 research credits Google Cloud Platform credits for our research proposal 'OpenUAV container ecosystem for research and educations use-cases enabled through cps-vo.org' to scale up our OpenUAV Swarm Simulation Testbed. The research credits are being used already to support SES 230 Coding for Exploration coursework. This work is a continuation of our efforts on the NSF Cyber-physical systems (CPS) project on lowering the barrier to entry to field robotics education.  Read more about DREAMS lab awarded $5,000 in Google Cloud Platform credits for a research proposal to scale up the OpenUAV container ecosystem

Advances in robust autonomy have increased our ability to adopt robotic systems for exploration of unstructured and uncertain environments. Particularly, successful field tests have demonstrated the tremendous potential of deploying robots for exploration and data collection tasks in extreme environments such as planetary surfaces and ocean trenches. However, various challenges exist, originating from algorithmic limitations, as well as environmental modeling, sensing, mobility, and communication constraints. A relevant selection of robotic systems, methods, and sensing devices can...
