I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. programme in Civil, Environmental and Sustainable Engineering in the School of Sustainable Engineering & the Built Environment (SSEBE) at Arizona State University. I have completed my MSc. degree in Water Resources Engineering and Management and my BSc. degree in Civil Engineering from Tehran Azad University.
I have experience as a water and environmental researcher in academia. In addition to my research experience, I also served as an international civil servant at different United Nations agencies such as UNESCO and UNICEF. I have worked with UNESCO’s International Hydrological Program (IHP) through the implementation of phase eight of its strategic plan in response to pervasive water scarcity challenges in the MENA region by working with governments, academia, and NGOs.
My core research interests include water and environmental systems analysis and policy, coupled human-natural systems analysis, environmental sustainability, hydrological modeling and analysis, hydropolitics, and climate change.
